We've been looking forward to the 7th annual Los Angeles Old-Time Social ever since we talked with Ben and Kelly Marie shortly after we missed the 6th annual LAOTS last year. We swore that we wouldn't miss it again and decided that we'd travel south this year to attend. The Social will be held this year on May 17-19th and there will be concerts, workshops, parties, jams and a big square dance that Flat Rock is lucky enough to play!
And to top it off, May 20th is the Topanga Banjo and Fiddle Contest. There we'll be playing a dance too, back to back with our favorites, Triple Chicken Foot. Our friend and neighbor Amy Hofer will be calling both dances. It looks like it's going to be a NE Portland field trip to SoCal!
