We recently spent some time with Alex Yusimov of The Pool Studio, recording some tunes in his living room. We've known Alex for quite some time for his excellent work recording many experimental, psych, indie, ambient noise & punk bands. We thought that we'd fit right in as an old-time band. Alex had once lived in a punk house that was home to a roommate who, as a beginning old-time fiddler, practiced "Sally Ann" for 12 hours straight every day, so we were lucky that he was open to hearing any fiddle tunes at all.
We've uploaded clips of the recordings on the "look & listen" page. The recording was done live in the living room using a couple room mics, and really nothing else- no overdubs or tricks. It sounds like us live.
